Sadly TNU has to report that Norwegian has pulled all its long-haul services from Gatwick and gives no dates for the return of the European flights.

At the time of writing it is only operating limited regional services within Scandinavia.

Norwegian is the latest in a list of Gatwick airlines who have failed with North American services since the days of Laker in the 1970s.  The good news is that jetBlue, a fast-growing US domestic airline plans to start flights to both Kennedy and Boston airports in the summer, from Gatwick and Stansted.

We shall miss Norwegian.  The fares were cheap, perhaps too cheap, and Economy was Economy with food you had to pay for (or bring your own) but the seat pitch was the same as everyone else. The Premium product gave much more leg room, and here catering came boxed.
